The mission of Visitation Ministry is to serve as a reminder to all members of our congregation that they are part of our church family even when they cannot physically be present at church. We serve the homebound, those in crisis, and those experiencing life transitions where extra support might nourish the soul.
Volunteers serve by visiting, taking meals and church flowers, calling, taking the eucharist, and sending cards or letters. Each member participates according to his or her own availability and spiritual gifts. Many volunteers have taken a course in compassionate listening and we have shared information with one another about visiting homebound or hospitalized patients.
