Altar Guild
In an earlier age ordained priests were responsible for the care of the altar and the sanctuary, but today lay members of the church have the privilege of this care. At Emmanuel, Altar Guild members prepare the altar for services at Emmanuel, putting out vessels for Holy Eucharist, changing hangings, laundering linens, polishing silver.
We welcome newcomers, male and female, to join us. After orientation, newcomers are assigned to teams with experienced members of the Altar Guild. Please call Patsy Crosby at 540-456-6334 if you would like to help.
